Mission of the Gunnison Living Community
The mission of the Gunnison Living Community is to provide continuous quality service, enabling older people to live to their highest potential as individuals who desire independence, good health, community involvement and personal fulfillment.
The target client base is individuals age 60 and older residing in the Gunnison area, without discrimination and with the keen recognition of each individual’s privacy, dignity, worth and wholeness.

The Gunnison Living Community has 59 licensed beds. It is the only long-term residential care facility in Gunnison County. The scope of business can be separated into three general areas: skilled nursing care, Alzheimer’s/Dementia Care or the “Special Care Unit” and Hospice & Palliative Care of the Gunnison Valley. An area that is also utilized much is the rehabilitation services that include both occupational and physical therapy.
